The Holland Animation Film Festival is held there, which is pretty well known. I have only seen two films made by the Dutch, both are very powerful and beautiful. They are Academy Award winners for best animated short:
1985 Anna and Bella directed by Borge Ring -Two sisters look back on their lives together---the good and bad parts---but in the end they know that they will always love each other.
2000 Father and Daughter directed by Michael Dudok de Wit- the story of how a girl waits all her life for her father to come back home.
